Positive: Truly home away from home! Beautiful facility with clear view of the Mountain. The host furnished us with all the necessary information prior to the visit and answered our queries. It was really easy to locate the facility... . The staff we met;Pauline and Nicholas were very pleasant and tended to our requests. Loved the evenings when Nicholas would light the fireplace.. Making the room warm. The facility is conveniently located, movement was quite easy!
Negative: The water too so long to heat up when showering; we inquired and were told they needed to boost it. 🤔At some point we gave up and ended up showering with cold water

Positive: An incredible property with stunning architecture and great views of Mt. Kenya. The plunge pools are a fantastic touch, adding to the overall experience. The subtle aviation theme gives the villa a unique charm, making it feel both stylish and inviting. The real star of the experience, however, was Margret—exceptionally kind and welcoming! She gave us a wonderful tour of the property, answered all our questions, and made our stay even more enjoyable. I would definitely recommend this place, but it’s worth noting that the one-bedroom cottages come in two different designs: the top-floor units have open-walled living areas, while the ground-floor ones are fully enclosed. Additionally, each villa consists of two one-bedroom cottages that share a plunge pool, so keep that in mind when booking. One small improvement I’d suggest is adding curtain sheers, the morning light can be quite strong, and they would also provide a bit more privacy while still allowing natural light into the cottage.

Positive: Everything about it lived up to expectations. From the design of the house, the amenities and location. The view of mount Kenya in the morning was amazing, and the cozy fire at night. Totally worth the stay. The staff were very helpful and polite.
Negative: A dish rack would be helpful after washing the dishes.

Positive: One night wasn’t enough! The location is perfect as it’s a few minutes from town. The property has the most serene compound with an insane view of Mt. Kenya. The cottage is cosy, very clean and has everything you would need except food… which you can easily order. We brought our own and cooked. The property owner was super kind and the host on ground was very welcoming.
Negative: I’d suggest adding A/C or a fan in the guest house as it’s really hot during this time of the year.

Positive: I loved the place and enjoyed my stay with my family—a gorgeous facility with breathtaking views and amazing staff.
Negative: The host tried to scam us. we checked out at 7 am on our last day. we backed and bags and left them to keep us because we wanted to visit somewhere nearby and we knew we might not be back in time to check out. However, when we came back like 4 pm to collect our bags the host stayed we had to pay an extra day because our fully backed were on the property. it was disappointing how we tried to be professionals and how they behaved.
Summary: Beautiful place, helpful staff but bad host.

Positive: The pictures don't do justice to this lovely home. We were glad to have booked two cottages, giving us the entire villa and a private pool to ourselves. Communication with Hannah, from booking to check-in, was seamless. The property offers secure parking, and the cottages were tastefully furnished with reasonable kitchen amenities. The outdoor kitchen in the upper cottage was a delightful feature, perfect for BBQs. We loved the clean, private pool, though it is unheated, so only for the brave. The addition of an indoor fireplace was a thoughtful touch for chilly evenings. A nearby restaurant offers an extensive menu with convenient pick-up or delivery options. The Landing's location next to the airstrip makes it easily accessible, though it's a bit of a drive to town, so plan accordingly. A heartfelt thank you to Hannah, Pauline, Margaret, and the entire team at The Landing for making our stay memorable. We hope to return soon.
